The National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) was established on September 1, 2011 as a result of the merger between the former Institute of Atomic Energy POLATOM and the former Andrzej So?tan Institute for Nuclear Studies. NCBJ's primary focus on fundamental and applied research includes studies related to nuclear power as well as various aspects of sub-atomic physics such as elementary particle physics, nuclear physics, and hot plasma physics. The center plays a pivotal role in the development of nuclear technologies and the promotion of practical applications of nuclear physics methods.
