XcelPlus initiated as a distributor of a specialized range of chemicals and lubricants under a private label. Throughout the process, we realized that simply reducing energy consumption was inadequate, prompting us to search for technologies that could meet the growing need for energy derived from waste streams. This led us to the discovery of methods for producing ethanol from refuse and utilizing biodiesel waste glycerin to create turbine and coal plant fuels. When Hurricane Katrina devastated the U.S. in 2005, we actively sought ways to convert the resulting waste into electricity or diverse fuels, such as synthetic diesel, gasoline, and ethanol.
