Taihei Shoji Co.Ltd originated as a subsidiary of Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co.Ltd and was founded with a capital of 100,000yen. It merged with Nihon Nensei Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd. and commenced production of Activated Carbon at the Gifu Factory in response to increased demand for phosphate compounds. Subsequently, the Kasugai Factory was established. In 1957, the Gifu Factory was closed after relocation was completed.
