Fermion specializes in the development, production, and promotion of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for the global generic market and exclusive contracts for new chemical entities (NCEs). It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orion Corporation, with its headquarters in Espoo, Finland. Partnered with Orion, Fermion offers comprehensive services encompassing APIs and Formulations, including a portfolio of over 30 generic APIs and more than 10 NCEs. The manufacturing and R&D facilities are all based in Finland, with an emphasis on expanding capabilities in the production of high-potency APIs (HPAPIs). Additionally, Fermion and Orion provide a range of drug product CMO services, such as hormonal and non-hormonal semi-solids, liquids, cytotoxic oral solids, packaging, small volume parenterals, and non-cytotoxic oral solids. Orion operates three manufacturing sites and one packaging center for drug products.
