Ashahi Chemical was established in 1979 with the goal of producing, promoting, and distributing industrial chemicals, with a particular focus on sodium alginate (used in textiles) and its variations, at both regional and national levels. Ashahi Chemical has been consistently supplying performance chemicals for many successful years. In the early 1990s, there was a significant demand for petroleum products and petrochemicals in India. In response to this increasing demand, Ashahi Chemical expanded its operations into the petroleum and petrochemical sector since 1988.
