Offers developmental data on cellular products for treatment of corneal endothelium. One primary factor leading to vision impairment as a result of corneal endothelial decompensation is Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD), with a prevalence of 4% among the Caucasian population aged over 40 years. The typical approach for FECD involves corneal transplantation, but this procedure presents challenges, primarily due to a shortage of donor corneas. Additional issues include graft failure in both early and late stages, as well as the complexity of the surgical transplantation process.
